Can I open the door and start 2017 Rogue S with just the key?

Asked by Lane Feb 06, 2020 at 02:54 PM about the 2017 Nissan Rogue S FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Wife and I just bought a 2017 Nissan Rogue S but it has only one FOB. I ordered another one from Amazon and am wondering if once I get the key cut, do I HAVE TO get it programmed or will just the key open the door and start the car? Will the horn sound if I open the door with just the key? (like in my older Isuzu Rodeo)

1 Answer

I don't know of any current car that will not require the key to be programmed to the car.
