Engine broken and A/C Condenser Leaks

Asked by GuruQ1HYK Nov 19, 2019 at 07:27 PM about the 2018 Honda Civic EX-L

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have 2018 Honda Civic, when it has only 300 miles, the engine was
damaged. It was unable to to driven, but finally, it got fixed. When it has 1500
miles, 6 months, the A/C Condenser is leaking. The Oakland Honda dealer
asked for $1000.00 to fix it. It said it is not under warranty. The dealer said it
caused by the "road damage". I am stuck on the bill $1000.00 and plus
$150.00 diagnose charge. Anybody has the same issue? I feel very
disappointed and unreasonable. Because it is a known issue, Why Honda
America didn't RECALL!? Why we, the customer have to pay for it? I believer
it should be under warranty!

1 Answer

The damage may or may not be road damage. I would have to see it to determine the cause.
