2000 Mazda protege xl

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Upon acceleration it acts like its
not getting any gas or it got some
bad gas. It may not get past
40mph but then its like it clears
out & starts running fine. Any
suggestions?

Check for a misfire, Bad spark plug/plug wire/coil/dirty injector.Vacuum leaks. Clogged PCV. Has the timing belt been replaced?
