Follow up to Mazda 2001 tribute rpms question. I omitted that this happens when the iac is plugged in(new part). When unplugged the rpms run around 500-700 rpms. Any suggestions? Help is appreciated.

Follow up from a previous post that I omitted. 2001 Mazda tribute rpms running high while the IAC is connected. When it is unplugged the rpms run around 500-700 rpms and actually runs well. Any suggestions what could cause the iac to do this? Brand new part. Appreciate any help

To answer you question. yes to all the above. Everything is pointing to a vacuum leak, however, I can not find any leaks. It is very aggravating.

i had a similar problem, what i did to fix the problem was to physically pull out all the fuses(both inside the car and under the hood) check them all with a multimeter, as some of them were blown, then relearn the idle as per the manual and presto everything was perfect.
