Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello,my 98 explorer 6 cyl /4 whl,started missing
and stalling like it was running out of gas, after I'd
sit for 15 -30 minutes,it usually starts right up runs
strong and smooth, and might for a couple day's,
then acts up again. So far I've replaced the fuel
filter ,the mass air flow sensor, cleaned what I could
reach of the intake, and sometimes this helps ,and
today it started fine ,run like new til I got ready to
leave work and now here I sit like it's out of
gas.One time it smells gassy,and won't start,the
next like it has no fuel.Any suggestions what to
change next ? From what I've read here ill do intake
gaskets, but im not sure about coil packs? Thanks

That happend to me once and it turned out to be a leak at the fuel pump assembly. I changed out the whole system and no more problems
