Ignition switch

I bought a 2007 Ford mustang that was
wrecked and they couldn't find the keys. So I
went to the salvage yard and found a car
that had a key in the ignition. Took the
ignition switch, door lock, and trunk lock and
put them in the car. After I did all the repairs,
I tried to start the car but it will not start. The
instrument cluster is turning on with the
theft symbol flashing. It seems the car is not
reading my switch and key. What can I do to
get it to work?

Your replacement key does nt match the car's factory anti theft system. You'll need to get keys programmed to your car's system. You may have to begin with a new key, from dealer. If you have the owner manual, there should be a section which explains how yo program a replacement key to work with your car. I hope this helps.
