2002 Mazda Tribute rear suspension

The mechanic told me i need a rear stabilizer bar
but everywhere from auto zone to the salvage yard
say they can't find that part for my car. Could it be
called something else

It could be called the lower control arm however, I would just check in with the Ford dealer. They should be able to order you one, it might be more expensive but it will be OEM and warrantied.

You're spot on with your analogy and describing what it ti you need. However it could be refereed to as a sway bar. Try a Google search once more but refer to as a rear sway bar. Key words: 2002 Mazda Tribute Rear Sway Bar My first hit was autozone. GL
