How come my 98 limited explorer won't charge after new battery and altinator was bought??? I'm heated....

It's my parents truck the starter went out a
few weeks ago, had it replaced then now all
of a sudden battery dead,  got a new one
same thing went to a recking yard got an
altinator still have the same problem OMG!!!

Alternators are not meant to charge a battery, only maintain it. You can actually damage an alternator's electronic components by trying to charge a low battery. Try charging the battery first to 12+ volts then check with multi-meter. Should be charging 14 or so volts.
