Creaking/Rattling noise from Mazda 6 2003

Is the sound more pronounced when turning? Does it go away when the brakes are applied?

It is more pronounced when turning. I am not entirely sure if it goes away when the brakes are applied; I think the sound reduces when brakes are applied.

I would have the half shafts checked, especially if it makes a fast clicking noise while turning and accelerating from a stop.

To me it almost sounds like a sway/stabilizer bar issue, but I don't know much about cars and the sound is not there during the first few miles once the car has cooled down.

The sway bar could b the issue, but I think a problem with the sway bar would b there all the time, whether cold or hot. Whereas the grease in the half shaft joints is thicker when cold than when warm or hot. Hence the quietness the first few miles till the grease warms up.

Ok, I took the car out for a spin and the sound doesn't go away when I brake. It also is not more pronounced when turning, but it's always there when turning (once it starts); but it doesn't really change when turning vs when driving straight.

Is more creaky going over bumps and dips in the road? And when sitting still when u turn the steering wheel back and forth? If so then it's the strut or ball joint. Could also b the lower control arm or the sway bar links or bushings.

Yeah. It's more creaky when going over bumps and dips in the road. Turning the wheel creaks. However, there is no thud or clunk when you hit a hump or pot hole or anything like that.
