Just purchased a 2018 Outback 2.5  -    
What is the reputation of these in the last few years ?   
Do they have a series or generation for these 2.5 engines that make them
different from a series 1 or 2 .....  ?

Some will use oil and keep the CVT fluid changed every 50,000 miles as the CVT has had issues. I would buy the extended warranty that Subaru sells.
