Breaking in a new engine (Cruise Control)

Asked by GuruWPQSX May 19, 2018 at 04:39 PM about the 2018 Kia Forte LX

Question type: General

I have a Kia forte 2018 and I read online (but
nowhere on the user manual) that you shouldn't
use the cruise control in the first 1,000  miles.
However, I did this on the first day driving home
from out of town. Is there a chance I could have
messed up my new car?

1 Answer

oh ok, so I haven't messed up anything major.as far as the engine goes? I didn't use it the whole way home, just for about 30 minutes and the rest of the 1000 miles have been driving with my foot on the pedal. It's my first new car so I want to make sure I take care of it and don't do anything to shorten the life of the engine, thanks!
