Wakefield, MA dealer price is consistently much higher than your listings but when asked they say it is because Car Gurus only "Pulls the price of the car." Then they add-on "Dealer charges." How can we trust the prices listed on Car Gurus if the dealers aren't actually selling the car at the listed price?

Wakefield, MA dealer price is consistently much higher than your listings but when asked they say it is because Car Gurus only "Pulls the price of the car." Then they add-on "Dealer charges."   How can we trust the prices listed on Car Gurus if the dealers aren't actually selling the car at the listed price?

Sellers, whether dealers or individuals, are responsible for the pricing of their vehicles. That said, the dealer is feeding you a real line with that one. CarGurus doesn't pull prices from the dealer. Even if they do an inventory feed, the dealer still sets the price that they want to show on the website. I know this to be a fact as I worked in the automotive dealership world for over a decade. Find a different dealer, they are obviously shady.

The listings are NOT CarGurus, they are posted by the dealer in question. Why not just avoid them as this looks like the old bait and switch to me.

Now that Wakefield Subie has grown their small-dealer feel has "advanced" to annoying slickness. Same in the service department. If you're in the area I'd recommend Metrowest or Village, and avoid Cityside and Ira.
