remote start doesn't always work after new battery put in

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently replaced the battery in my truck.  Now the remote start maybe works 3x then won't.  Sometimes if you manually start it, it will work 2 or 3 times then won't.  I remember when the battery failed, it had a check engine light.  I scanned it, it shows no code.  So, I took it to a Dodge dealer.  Naturally it worked.  The only thing they found was a broken solder joint on a wire on battery.    They never checked for a code.  I was told there could still be a code in computer.  From everything I've read, it seems to need to be reactivated.  One place I read said if you drive more than 50 miles it will reactive the remote start.  Another place said to turn on ignition, don't start, wait til instrument panel goes out, then press remote start button three times real fast.  No of this fixed.    Any suggestions??

Thanks

One additional piece of information. This is a factory installed remote start. When you hit remote start button, lights flash, horn beeps twice then starts. When it doesn't, horn beeps once. Thanks
