1998 won't start just click

I have a question we changed the starter on the
truck new battery. Do you think if the ac
compressor locked up it is preventing the truck
from starting?

IF YOU JUST GET A CLICK? clean your Battery cables if you still get a click when you try to turn it over, then you should jump the Solenoid, (do you know how?) if it turns over when you jump the Solenoid , but only clicks with you turn the key, then I would say replace the Solenoid,
