Is premium gas Mandatory in a 2018 RDX

Agree with the above, if it says premium then run premium. If you need fuel and are unable to get premium then put the cheaper stuff in it to get by.

Regular vs Premium gas have different octane level. This is important because it determines how much the fuel can be compressed before it ignites. What it says on the of the gas fuel door of your vehicle or manual is the best for your vehicle. Online and videos will state that it doesn't matter what kind of gas you put in the vehicle, but I believe this is wrong because the octane level will result in a different combustion of your vehicle, leading to unknown outcomes.
