2018 GMC Acadia

Asked by Rene N Erica Jun 28, 2018 at 11:43 AM about the 2018 GMC Acadia SLE-1 FWD

Question type: General

I have had my 2018 GMC Acadia for a month now and
about a 1000 miles. Has anyone had an issue like this? I
will be at a stop light with my foot on the brake and the
light turns green and I let my foot off the break and the car
doesn’t move. Then I will press the gas and the truck
shakes/ shutters and sometimes kicks back, then starts
driving. Why does this happen? This is so frustrating it
feels like it is going to shut off

Yes that just happened to me but mine wouldn’t go at all. It would go in reverse so I put it in reverse to move it out of the way of traffic and sat there for a few minutes and then when I put it in drive it went fine. Am going back to the dealer tomorrow

My son has a 2017 Acadia and it was not shutting off properly, but after several months of it acting up it would not start one morning, the battery was dead. We boosted it and it started. After work it would not start again. We installed a new battery and all the problems it had before cleared up. Maybe you have a problem with your battery. He has been driving it now for a week and it shuts off normally. Joe

I am currently having that same problem Rene Erica! I am taking it to the dealer tomorrow to have it diagnosed but I am hoping its not going to cost an arm and leg. Did you ever find out what was wrong with it?
