I have heard the trannies make a low pitched whine when low on fluid or the pump is going out. Engine vibration could be a bad spark plug, when was its last good tune up? Fuel gauge could be a bad dash ground, a bad sending unit or a bad ground there also. Everything electronic needs good grounds and when you get a few years on a vehicle they start to go bad.
