Something wrong with my gas recirculation system. It's not the cap, now what?

Asked by Aubydon Mar 25, 2020 at 06:49 PM about the 2001 Lincoln Navigator RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

mechanic tightened gas cap and reset light.  This lasted about a week.  Haven't had time to go back and leave car, will take all day, and now the shut in.
I understand this system has the components.
I've cleaned and checked the cap.  Now what?
