03 Lincoln LS v6 auto

Asked by Jonjon2912 Jul 28, 2016 at 10:10 AM about the 2003 Lincoln LS V6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 03 Lincoln LS automatic v6 the
transmission has been acting up since I
got it. It shifts hard going into 2nd gear
then it hesitates ((not skip or act as
slipping)) it's almost like the car shuts out
from 2nd to 3rd for legit a split second then
after that the car runs beautifully smooth.
Iv had a mechanic add trans fluid to it and I
reset computer and that didn't help. Can
someone please give me options and
pricing range that this will cost??? Thank
you so much

$2,500 to $3,000 depends on where you live.... How many miles on your car and overall condition of vehicle is VERY important. If your car is in immaculate condition, it's much cheaper to do this vs. purchasing a new car, otherwise, if car is worn out and generally in not good condition, it's not worth doing.. only you can decide. Good luck.
