Jerks when going into 3rd or 4th drive.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Lincoln LS 2005. Car jerks into 3 or 4 th , automatic
transmission. Just got it and old owner said he changed 4
out of 6 spark plugs and coil packs but couldn't get to the
other 2. Could it be the 2 spark plugs that haven't been
changed? Or maybe a transmission issue? Also, had
some missing fuses, I changed them all but now my
battery is draining very quickly. Any thoughts or help is
appreciated!

Take the fuses out that you replaced. Some vehicles don't use all the openings. Did you replaced them due to a something not working? Jerking can be a misfire due to the plugs, or it could be a worn transmission. You'll have to do some more diagnostic work.

Forget the fuses or spark plugs ,that a transmission issue ,and will only get worse , don't forget the trans is 12 years old ..Did you check your Trans Fluid to see if its low or that it smells burnt ..
