1979 z28 air cleaner

Hello all,

I’m returning my 79 z28’s air cleaner to original specs.
Can anyone post a picture or the correct one?

I picked one up from eBay and was told that the top is
supposed to leave a gap, which just seems wrong. Can
anyone help and maybe add pics?

Thanks for the responses. The air cleaner is 14” and the base is 15” so air will enter two ways via the hose and the gap at the top, is that what you meant by air entering from the filter Tom?
