How do I replace the starter on a 1998 ford contour

I have a ford contour 2000 only had for almost 5 months my car starts but then is don’t i got my car tested and it says I need a fuel pump so idk if that’s why it won’t start or could it be my starter I also hear a clicking sound when I turn the key what could it be
