2nd car lease question

Question type: General

Hi, I have never leased a vehicle before and
currently am considering it but would like some
information. I know leasing is bad when you intend
to put a lot of miles on the vehicle but I am planning
on driving it very little. This is my situation. I
currently have a 2012 F150 platinum that I drive
daily to and from work. For years I have wanted a
corvette just as a toy Not as a daily driver. Price
wise I wondered if it might be advantageous to do a
lease for one since it will be very low mileage. I will
only be driving the car occasionally for fun like
weekends/after work. Any info or insight anyone
can provide would be greatly appreciated since I
know very little about this subject thank you.

I would start with your current bank and weigh out your options. It's almost not adventurous to ask the dealership at this point. Good luck

Leasing does provide you with the ability to receive a lower monthly payment compared to financing a vehicle. You are not locked into the car after the lease term and you have the option of jumping into a newer vehicle or love it so much that you want to keep it and buy it out. Because you are looking at driving low mileage, leasing would work for you and you can contact your local dealers to see what a short term lease would look like compared to their advertised terms, so that you get all options available to you. By shopping the different terms of the lease as well as far as how long you may want to keep the car for, will help you figure out whether it financially makes sense for what you will use it for and your budget.
