Stereo

Asked by dawnie Sep 17, 2007 at 05:04 PM about the 2001 Kia Sportage EX 4WD

Question type: General

I have a 2001 Kia Sportage EX 4WD.  I bought it used.  I have the owners manual but I need the manual for the stereo.  I was told by a Kia Dealership that I have to bring in the car so they can see what the stereo looks like.  Is there a place on the net that I can download for free the stereo manual?

All I need to know is, on the stereo, I have 6 preset buttons for the radio.  Number 5 and #6 have -5cd and +6cd on them.  What do those buttons mean?  Can anyone help me?

Sounds to me like those buttons probably work with the CD player. If you have a single-CD player, they probably control the track number (the "-" moves you back, and the "+" moves you ahead), and if you have a CD changer, they may control the number of the CD you're playing.
