Engine stops running at while sitting at traffic light at times

Engine quits running  & then restarts when brake is released when stopping at
traffic lights once and awhile .... why Is that ?

You have the indescribably wonderful stop/start feature which greens have forced on auto makers. Saving a few drops of gas to save the planet ;) You can probably turn it off but you will have to do it every time you start the car. It ain't easy being green!

Really?! .. actually, half an hour later after this shut down it was about to shut down again but it didn't. also, please note that both times, the car was stopped BUT engine was on!!
