Try a more appreciative Ford dealership and have it scanned for codes and fix it under warranty. Idle speed should be more like 650. Fast idle is where all your gas is going. It might just be a vacuum leak like a disconnected hose. Probably nothing serious but the dealer's reply is totally unacceptable!! Good Luck.

Your engine may have a vacuum leak or you may need a new idle control valve.

Since your car is under warranty don't take their BS. Complain to Ford directly. You may need to go to a different Ford dealer.
