Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello
Sometimes I start my kia and after a few seconds the engine cuts out when I try to start it again it either takes a while or will not start could this be a faulty starter motor/solenoid perhaps?
Kind regards any advice would be much appreciated

If the engine cranks it's not the starter ... many things could cause an engine to catch then quit but the starter isn't one of them

Hello Mark Thanks for that advice you say many things could cause an engine to catch then quit any common denominator which would be top of the list in your opinion? Kind regards

sounds more like a fuel problem, low pressure, maybe a fuel system check is in order

While at it, check your fuel tank for any paint/tank liner coming off and clogging your filter,,,its happening to me right now and i have to say,,,its a pain in my day. Apparently its a commen 2004 sorento problem
