Tempature gage goes up but it is not over heating

I ran my kia with out radiator cap i firgot to put on i
drove 20 miles when it started over heating. There
is no water in oil. I put new thermostat and sensor.
When i drive my Kia sedona lx the tempeture goes
up but it is not overheating what else can it be

Your cooling system can not run right with air in the system so refill it and put the cap back on. The pressure cap raises the coolant boiling point from 210 degrees up to 265 degrees. That way the cooling system is working with all liquid. Air bubbles don't cool or pump well. Things should be back to normal with a 50/50 mix of coolant and a radiator cap in place.

I have a 2003 Kia Sedona and when it gets to temperature the fans won't turn on. I changed the coolant sensor and the thermostat. they turn on when i turn on the a/c.
