Fule filter or fule pump ?

Asked by GuruV5PG4 Aug 07, 2018 at 11:22 AM about the 2005 Kia Optima LX V6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 Kia optima la v6. For the pass
few months when I go and put gas in it. It is
very hard to start, I will have to pump the gas
and turn the ignition at the same time. I have
to keep it riv up for a little so it don't die. Any
other time she stars right up, it just does at
the gas station after pumping gas in her.
Does it sound like the file filter or file pump?

You need to check your evap system. Filling up the gas tank stirs up the fumes, then the over-rich fumes are routed to engine, when they shouldn't be, can cause problems. I'm not sure I explained that correctly, but, should be close.
