1980 el camino the speedometer bounces around

If it's doing it while you're driving on a bumpy road that's normal. Older speedometers had a spinning magnetic cup inside to position the indicator needle. It is not computer controlled. There will be some movement while driving. HTH. -Jim


The speedometer cable may need lubricating or replacing.
