Coil burnout

Car continuously fries the ignition coil.

There is probably a ignition condenser that needs replacing. Sometimes they are right at the coil, if this is not an HEI ignition.

If your coil was supposed to have a resistor and does not then that might be the issue. http://www.hot-spark.com/1-HS14BR.htm
