Does anyone know what the cargo area measurements are for the 2017 honda cry? I am looking for LxW in inches, NOT cubic feet. I know it's not a perfect square, but am looking for length from gate to back seats and widest part of width area. Any help would be MUCH appreciated. I feel I have searched to the ends of the internet and am close to going to ask to measure someone's car out on the city streets!! Thanks in advance :)

I bought a 2017 cr v yesterday and had the same problem trying to find the L& W on the internet. So here is what I measured today: Width between the wheel wells is 41"; non wheel well width is 57.5" Length is a little more complicated as the back hatch is curved so the distance on the sides is less than the middle. That said, here is the distance based on different configurations: --With passengers in the back seat, the cargo area is 38" deep in the middle and 35" deep on the left and right sides. -- With the back seat folded down, it is 73" deep in the middle and 70.5" on the sides. -- With the front passenger seat all the way forward, the distance is 83"

I have a 2014 CRV - pretty similar build. I came here looking for the longest interior dimension- measuring from the closed tailgate to the front windshield, you have a full 10ft (reclining the passenger seat and setting planks of wood for example on top of the dash board going back.

"The Honda CR-V is a midsize crossover with the type of capacities you'd expect from a sprawling 3-row model. It allows for up to 39.2 cubic feet of cargo space when all seats are taken, which is more than enough for luggage, shopping, and day-to-day items. If you need more, don't worry - there's an impressive 75.8 cubic feet behind the front seats. You can access it by lowering the spring-loaded, auto-folding rear seatbacks. They fold down to let you take advantage of the CR-V's 6+ feet (73.0 inches) of width and 15+ feet (180.6 inches) of length." - Honda website https://www.klamathfallshonda.com/can-i-fit-a-bed-in-a-honda-cr-v-.htm

Moving a Bed With the Honda CR-V The answer to "Can I fit a bed in the Honda CR-V?" is a simple one: yes! A twin mattress measures, on average, only 38 inches in width and 75 inches length, so you should be able to move yours without issue. In fact, you could probably move all of your possessions with the CR-V. Armchairs, two-seater sofas, dining tables, and bookcases can all usually be taken, and the maximum towing capacity of 1,500 pounds means that you'll be able to haul anything else behind you.

In general dimensions: 6 feet x 3.5 feet To fit comfortably inside the cargo area with just the back seats folded down and no creative positioning, and ability to close the hatch without tweaking anything. There's a bit more room if you get creative in positioning the cargo. For example, if you want to transport 2x4s, can fit almost 10 foot long by angling the wood sideways and moving the front passenger seat forward or positioning it between the 2 front seats. But sold bulk cargo fitting just up to the 2 front seats in regular position comfortably is 6 feet and then the width of that cargo area about 3-3.5' feet
