Most probably part of the theft security system, the information will be in the car manual.

It isn't mentioned in car manual!! I don't have a specific theft system. Do all EX 2018 models come automatically with a theft system?

I'm having the same issue with my 2018 HRV and it isn't mentioned in the manual. I'm worried that it's going to drain my battery eventually.

I'm having the same problem. It is NOT the tiny blinking security light in the extreme upper left corner of my audio control...it is just below and to the left of the fuel gauge, but it is not the classic "gas station fuel pump" with a line through it that indicates that I am low on fuel (Ihave plenty of fuel in my tank)...it is a circular red light that blinks IN ADDITION TO the tiny security blinking light already mentioned. It is so aggravating that this is not included in the owner's manual!

I do not think there is an answer. I had to have my car jumped today because the battery was dead. The service person asked if I'd left anything on that could drain the battery. Now that I'm searching the web, it is because of the bliniking light for the security system. It can drain your battery especially in cold weather (yup, January in MN) and if it's idle. I work at home, and sometimes do not use my car for 2-3 days at a time. Thankfully, I have roadside assistance via my insurance, and that the car was in my garage.

2016 CRV. I never noticed this light until tonight. 3/02/20. I am afraid it will drain my battery too. I found if do not lock my car doors, the light does not blink. So tonight I am leaving my car unlocked. I will investigate more tomorrow, or call the garage for further info.

Honda Batteries are meticulously manufactured to just, i mean just enough to last its 36 month warranty. i believe everyone need to change them after first 3 years. Security system blinking light doesnt drain your battery.
