I bought a 1999 ford ranger 4x4 3.0l truck for my first truck. when you put it in 1st 2nd and / or D or reverse it will not move. all fluids are full, not burnt. In reverse and drive it does creep very very slowly. any advice? Next step is to tow to TRANS shop for dia. thanks a lot guys I chose ford for my first truck because theres so much support and im on a supper tight budget!

Well. I am sorry to hear that. I have been a Ford guy for a while. I can tell you buying used has some risk. Brother is a Mechanic and the all break down the same break down regardless of what brand Anyway, not that that helps but sounds like a clutch pack in tranny. But if fluid not smelling burnt might could be a simple module in valve body. Do not just take it anywhere. Take to Reputable Ford dealer. Well known well trusted. And see. That is best advice. Take it anywhere else. They don't care - just rebuild and charge full price and slap you on the back on way out the door. Research your nearest Ford Dealers. Find the best - then go there. -Mkz
