Compromised coolant system
Okay, this is a challenging one. 1995 Jeep Cherokee Sport from Japan (right hand drive). The coolant system has been compromised from the beginning. Suspect someone mixed types of anti-freeze somewhere in its history. I've replaced the radiator, water pump (the blades on the rotor were completely disintegrated), thermostat, hoses, radiator cap. The heater coil is probably blocked (I don't have heat in the vehicle) and the freeze plugs are rusting out one by one. There are seven; one near the head facing the firewall, five on the block, and one underneath the bell housing of the transmission. I had the one near the firewall replaced professionally. I replaced the two on the block that I could reach without disassembly of the engine but if those two are indicative of the condition of the rest of them then I'm looking at an engine removal/dissasembly or transmission drop. So as a hail Mary I added some of that ceramic sealant to the system.
I still can't go twenty miles without overheating and steam blowing out of the right side of the radiator. It has already cost me the tons of money, busted knuckles, and the postal job for which I originally purchased it for. Aside from dropping it in the river, is there anything left I can do to make it go?
Try bleeding the cooling system from the air pockets... www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeTgmdRkQtY
