both motor oil nd transmission oil when I
have done a clutch replacement. ...

All you do is check the levels to see if they need any oil. Wouldn't know why on the engine oil, but the trany may have lost some when replacing the clutch.

It probably is a good time to change the trans oil and if you are near 3000 miles on the engine oil you might as well do that too.
