Why wont my emergency brake light go off?

I never use my emergency
brake.butwhenn I pull the handle up
just a little bit.the light goes off.
Solution please.

switch out of range. inspect and correct switch, or replace switch or correct expected range as necessary if out of spec when compared to another. chapter and verse darlin
