Trying to see what this is so I can replace it
They put some gel in so the oil will not come out
but they could just told me the part but instead I
might have to buy the whole thing for it.
This is the picture if it is not showing
It is the oil pan drain plug. Either the gasket that surrounds it is bad, it is lose or the threads are stripped. All of your engine oil comes out if that plug is removed.
Is it possible to replace the whole thing because they told me the whole thing will need to be replace because the oil will not come out
I wonder if they are talking about replacing the entire oil pan? Is that drain plug glued or epoxied in?
Seal glue on it
