Look at prices on Hemmings Motor news for ideas. Unless the car has desirable options and is really clean I would say 10k is high.

A fully restored Fairlane sold in my area for 10,100, but it looked like it had just rolled off the showroom floor. So it all depends on the condition, if it is a numbers matching vehicle it is worth a little more, it sounds like he needs to lower his expectations some.

April, Its really all about condition. Photo's would really help determine approx value. Being a 4 door it would have to be in nearly perfect unrestored condition to be close to 10k. Engine and options will also make a difference. The area you live in will also change the price. Post some pics . .
