2001 Jeep Cherokee Laredo

Asked by GuruCN7SC Feb 25, 2019 at 02:05 PM about the 2001 Jeep Cherokee SE 4-Door RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Jeep just cut off going to work. No problems
before no oil light on or matience lights. Tried to
crank it back up and nothing. It's hitting but won't
spin. Bought a new starter and nothing! Any
suggestions?

Replace your crankshaft sensor I had the same issue with my 2000 Laredo and it would shut off randomly leaving me stranded for hours sometimes I replaced that and it has had no issues since, been about 4 months now. Bought it on Amazon for about 30 bucks and local auto store had it on hand for 55. Hope this helps
