No crank no start

Asked by Mike Jan 11, 2017 at 05:16 PM about the 1999 Ford Explorer 4 Dr XLT 4WD SUV

Truck ran terminals were loose jumped the truck
after tightening terminals ran for a min heard a
winding sound them it would crank but not start.
Swaped battery fuel filter starter and now it won't
even crank I'm stuck any ideas?

You must be in the cold, you switch the battery, wonder if you need a new battery, wonder if the old one just needs to be charged since the battery cables were loose, you can get the old one tested.
