99 ford explorer 4.0 6 cyl.

I have a 99 6cylinder . ford explorer and a 97. 8
cylinder i want to put the 8 cylinder in my 99 what
will have to happen if its possible to execute this
job

It is possible, but your in for quite a job, all the V8 power train will have to be placed into the 99 as well as the entire engine and transmission control harness and modules. Sometimes it is eaiser to swap body's than swapping power trains. But you still have to leave the V8 stuff with the V8 frame. Not going to be an easy job either way.
