Possible short?
Well this is wierd when I turn the dimmer switch in
the car to the on position the starter starts
cranking the engine over but luckily it doesn't start
the engine. This just started happening out of no
where. Any suggestions?

check wiring at starter solenoid on inner fender , and look for a poorly installed remote start system
There is no remote start system on the vehicle. Well at least not am after market one.
