Whenever I turn the steering wheel one of speakers goes out depending on which way turn. Would it be the clock spring?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2003 Jeep Liberty with an aftermarket CD/DVD deck and I do not have the
steering wheels radio controls hooked up. I didn't have the problem until recently whenever
the steering wheel is turned either way sometime one speaker goes out in sequence with
the direction of the steering wheel. Is it the clock spring or something else?

It sounds like whomever instaled the radio put the wires near the steering column and it is either causing a short or pulling the wires away from the contacts.
