My Truck is stalling when I come to a stop when towing my camper and after its been running for awhile. It won't turn back on and when I try and crank it, it continues to crank when I release
My Yukon runs fine 99% of the time. Once in traffic on a 4 hr trip, the
tachometer started revving and I couldn't accelerate. The check engine light
came on. Finally accelerated and I pulled off at a gas station and went in for
about 5 min and came back out and check engine light was off... weird.
(Unclear if it's related to present problem)
So now... while towing my camper, after it's been running for a bit, it cuts out
when I come to a stop or slow down close to a stop. Just dies. When I try
and turn it over, it cranks aggressively even when I release the ignition. After
a while, battery dies and I can jump it and it starts then (or can) runs fine...
both while towing and now towing. Have had throttle cleaned, wiring checked
and shop can't figure it out. Yesterday when it died, it took a LONG time to
charge the battery to start it.
Not a car person... sorry for the lengthy explanation... hoping someone has
an idea. I'm trying to get back to get my camper and am at a loss. Thanks!
