Maybe just teh oil pressure sediswitch is bad.Locate it and replace it. They are very cheap and usually easy to install.Try U-Tube for a how to video for your Vehicle and engine.. If the engine is making noise-ticking clacking, when it says zero you really have no oil pressure.Get the motor flushed-maybe even twice. Use a slightly heavier grade of oil. If that doesnt help you might have to drop the oil pan and see if the oil pump screen is clogged,or pick up tube is no good. After that its oil pump or worse. You didnt say how many miles you have.

SOUNDS LIKE OIL PUMP WORN TRY CHANGING THE OIL AND OIL FILTER,, SEE IF THAT HELPS.

just to be safe you should have a master guage installed to into the system and check oil pressure . I am sure you can rent one or have a shop do it cheap , to give you piece of mind and make an informed decision.

Hi I have a 2007 Denali I was driving and my oil pressure light came on and said I was losing pressure. I turned it off then turned it back on started driving and now it's not showing anything. Got home check the oil everything seems good any ideas what happened or why it was showing I was losing pressure.
