A/C

Asked by Wesnamyo7 Mar 27, 2017 at 10:31 PM about the 2004 GMC Yukon Denali AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We bought this Yukon about 2 weeks ago.
Everything has worked fine until 2 days ago. First
the a/c on the passenger side stopped blowing
cold air. Now when you crank it, it blows out cold
air on the drivers side for about 10 seconds then it
goes straight to hot without touching any of the
controls. I can hear something under the dash
switching just before it starts blowing hot air. They
had just replaced the battery before we bought it
cause the other battery was dead. Any help would
be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Same happened in my 05 yukon denali a certified mechanic told me to turn on my ac on both sides take the positive battery post off for 5 minutes and to not touch anything then hook the post back up turn on ignition turn up the fan make sure the snowflake is on...do not touch the temp controls and let it run for 5 minutes without touching the temp controls and it started blowing cold again.
