Yukon Denali headlights remaining on

Asked by Floridaexpert Aug 16, 2015 at 03:22 PM about the 2002 GMC Yukon Denali AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a problem with my Yukon Denali headlights. The car has worked perfectly fine for a
year , but last week when I turned off the ignition and removed the key, the interior blower
continued to run and the headlights, running lights and sidelights all remained on. The
only way to turn them off was to disconnect the battery, but once reconnected and the car
is used again, I have the same problem and the lights remain on. Can anyone help me
please?

What year is your Yukon because with ours the exterior lights are on a timer and you have to open to door for everything to turn off after removing the key.

Normally, the lights always turned off, but this fault developed after a year of ownership. It was due to a stuck relay and solved by replacement.
