04 jeep liberty 3.7L is making a knocking noise near valve cover

Jeep is making a knocking noise, and speeds up when throttle is pulled.

it sounds like a rocker is loose, or a pushrod is bent, the lifters should be hyd., so they will adjust up to .60". I would take the valve cover off and inspect if possible, or take it to a trusted mechanic..hope this helps
