How can I troubleshoot if my pressure sensor on my gas tank is bad

Have a check engine light on  code says
bad pressure sensor

I'd say if the code says its bad, then its bad. But otherwise it would be to get it out and figure out how to test it. I'm sure you could find something on line for testing procedures.
